YOLOAF

And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.
Hebrews 9:27-28 (New Living Translation)

Hashtags are very common these days. A few examples are #selfie, #love, #instagood, #swag and many more. A very dominant one amongst these is #yolo. YOLO: You Only Live Once. People believe that they should try out everything before they die because they have only this life to live and so they try achieving as much as they can out of it. But they don’t realize that dying here on earth doesn’t mean that it’s a permanent end to their life.

It has been appointed unto men once to die. However, our earthly bodies may perish but our main identity i.e. our soul is still alive. Our soul is never subject to eternal

termination unless and until we are judged by the Lord, our God for which no one knows the exact time. It’s only known by the Father, even the Son doesn’t know the time. People may perceive ‘YOLO’ in its original sense. But Christ saved mankind from God's wrath by sacrificing His body and shedding His blood. For its remembrance we partake bread and wine, having which we now have a Christian version of ‘YOLO’ that is ‘YOLOAF’. Can we stand up and start using the hashtag ‘#yoloaf’ and not ‘#yolo’ and proclaim the Good News to anyone who asks us about it? As the Bible teaches us, one should not feel shy about proclaiming the gospel.

#YOLOAF: You Only Live Once And Forever

Our present life may be temporary on an earthly perspective but it is eternal when taking on a spiritual perspective till the time we are judged and know our destiny, following His SECOND COMING.

The Word tells us that Christ died for our sins. He covered all our sins by His death which was just once. This shows that the most important thing for every man can occur only once, that is death. The Lord took a human form and dwelt amongst us as Jesus. He bore all our sins and gave the final sacrifice whilst lying on the jaws of death. It occurred only once, not multiple times. This also holds true in regards to judgement. Man can only be judged once. He’ll be given a final judgement which won’t be repeated, hence determining his destiny.

Christ has been offered once, he shan’t be anymore. He has borne away countless sins, sins for the entire humanity. What he has already done once, shall stand good forever. As the Word states, He will appear a second time, but this time without a sin-offering as He has already paid the price once.
Our God is merciful enough to grant us a chance to ask for forgiveness of our sins and seek salvation. If we follow His guidelines, we can proudly utilize the hashtag ‘#YOLOAF’ and rebuke death eternally.

Message for the week:

Our Lord has paid the absolute price for our salvation. This has opened us the doors to heaven and given us a chance to rebuke death whilst living once and forever. Although, we have to keep in mind that we’ll be given no more than a chance to turn to Him, call His Name and seek salvation.

Recite this short prayer with me, "Lord, you paid a heavy price just for the forgiveness of our sins. We ask for forgiveness for the same. I humbly thank you Jesus, for opening the doors to heaven and giving a chance to rebuke death. Please help me in following Your Word and in being Your disciple. Lord, I need your assistance to seek salvation. In Jesus’ name I pray.” Amen
God bless you
