Too-righteous or too-wicked

We know some amongst us who always mutter that being sinners, they are not saved. They take the view that they have only one life to live(earthly life) and try to achieve the best out of it. Had that been the case, was God aware about it? We all know that our Heavenly Father knows us better than ourselves. He knows we're born sinners and fall short of His glory. He has poured out His undying mercy over us, showing us a way out which we’ll get to explore through His WORD.
At times, we hear others advising us not to be too religious and

follow our earthly desires as well. Some of us feel offended and call ourselves righteous in every aspect (even though we may be lying to ourselves). None amongst us can be called truly righteous. Same goes with being wise, we try and cross the limits in gaining wisdom even though we can't be truly wise and our attempts lead us nowhere but lies, pride or other ways to sin.
The world at present is the devil's snare. We fall for temptations and traps set by the devil. The Word tells us to express moderation in every aspect. There are times when we see the good man fall apart in his affliction while the wicked man prospers in his evildoing, which ultimately leads to losing hope in our Almighty God. These are some of the many circumstances which act as stepping stones in our path to eternity.
We know quite a few amongst us who consider themselves

self-righteous in regards to the things they do(but, none amongst can be called ‘righteous’). With righteousness comes wisdom, but we are told not to be wise in our eyes regarding wisdom. Whilst thinking of ourselves being wise, (being human) we gain pride. Our pride leads us into selfish ambitions, wicked plots and other kinds of sin. Are we willing to sin and destroy ourselves or enjoy this life given to us by our Heavenly Father?
Just as we are told not to act over-righteous, likewise, we are told not to be over-wicked or even being foolish. Wickedness is expressed by countless evil desires. We all are aware of the final outcome of such evil desires. A person who abandons his self-disciplined life and starts pursuing evil desires is considered foolish in doing so and this foolishness of his, is wickedness. Do we want our heaven-bound selves to perish such that we may not inherit our promised Eternal Kingdom?
In this short study of the Word, we get to know that we still have a way to save ourselves and that the Godly way of living is via living neither too righteous nor too wicked. Remember: It takes two hands to clap.

Message for the week:

None amongst us can call oneself truly righteous. We are born sinners and fall short of His glory. We can still get ourselves on the righteous call by following the Word, neither trying to be too righteous(which leads to sinning) nor being too wicked. God has His plans for us but its upto us to follow His plans.
Recite this short prayer with me, "Lord, you are my merciful God. Through your word, I know that I was being rather over-religious or over-wicked. I ask for your forgiveness for the same. I thank You for always being by my side when I needed you. Guide me in my life, revealing me Your plan. ” Amen
God bless you
